Our Women’s Health Hub (WHH)
Since the concept of a Women’s Health Hub was formed in 2023 as part of the Women’s Health Strategy for England, the service has rapidly developed in the South of the North Central London footprint and was implemented in August 2024.
Who is providing this service?
The Women’s Health Hub model for Haringey and Islington patients was established through partnership working between the “Gynaecology Collaborative”, the local community gynaecology service, and local sexual and reproductive health provider, CNWL.
Where is it?
In August 2024 the 2 services co-located at the Archway Centre near Upper Holloway Train Station. Its purpose is to bring together existing services to provide an integrated health service for women in the community and to support the reduction of hospital waiting times. Since then, CNWL and the Gynaecology Collaborative have been working closely together with establishing direct referral pathways to each other's services, as well supported the engagement with vulnerable and disadvantaged women’s groups.
What is the Women’s Health Hub?
The aim of the WHH is to deliver care closer to home, improve patient experience and improve health outcomes for the local population. The WHH also works closely with its local hospitals to help reduce their outpatient waiting lists.
