Welcome to the Islington iHub service. We are not your usual GP practice. We provide same-day care for patients who are registered with an Islington GP practice on the weekends.

Pharmacy First

Did you know that your local pharmacy can treat several common conditions, without needing to see a GP? They can help with:

·         Sinusitis (aged 12 years and over)

·         Sore throat (aged 5 years and over)

·         Earache (aged 1 to 17 years)

·         Impetigo (aged 1 year and over)

·         Infected insect bites (aged 1 year and over)

·         Shingles (aged 18 years and over)

·         Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (women 16-64 years)

Physiotherapy

Non-Urgent or Administrative Queries

We cannot process non-urgent or administrative queries in the iHub service. If the experienced clinician decides that your request can wait until your practice opens on Monday, we will send you an SMS or email asking you to contact your usual GP practice.

Examples of requests we cannot deal with:

·         Prescription requests (emergency prescriptions will processed), or medication reviews

·         General health advice or routine check-ups

·         Immunisations and vaccinations

·         Referral letter requests

·         Routine test results discussion

·         Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, hypertension reviews)

·         Administrative issues such as medical records requests, fit notes, and test booking

North 2 Primary Care Network (N2 PCN) Access to iHUB

Practices in the N2 PCN can only use the iHub service after 17:00 on Saturday, and on Sundays and Bank Holidays 08:00-20:00.
